Camp Dragonfly 2024 is August 23-25!

This year’s summer camp will be entirely in-person. 

Camp Dragonfly is a summer camp for trans+, gender-creative and gender diverse kids, their siblings, and friends. Since the summer of 2018, Camp Dragonfly has hosted a summer and winter camp each year, so far serving over 160 families from Alberta and beyond. Our mission is to bring trans and gender creative children together for creativity, connection, and celebration. By hosting a summer camp that encourages self-exploration and affirmation, we embrace children of all identities and experiences.

Getting to Camp Dragonfly

Camp Dragonfly 2023 will be hosted at SSUC-Edmonton, 10740 19 Ave NW.

There is ample parking available on site. Century Park LRT station is a short walk from Camp, as well as being close to bus routes.

For those of you coming from out of town, there are accommodations nearby.

Pack List

We are so excited to have your child(ren) spend a whole weekend outdoors with us this summer! Please refer to this pack list to support your child in having a fun and safe experience with us. 

For more information about how to dress for various seasons, this is a great guide. You can also be in touch with us for specific questions.  

Children are invited and encouraged to wear whatever will make them feel most like themselves, make them comfortable and keep them safe! Please leave all electronics (phones, ipads etc) at home. 

Clothing: 

  • Hat (with brim) 
  • Sunglasses 
  • Sunscreen & bug repellent 
  • Closed toe shoes 
  • Bathing suit or swim safe clothing 
  • Fleece or wool sweater 
  • Rain jacket 
  • Rain pants 
  • Rain boots 
  • Sweat or other warm pants 
  • 2 pairs of extra socks 

Other:

  • Medications & epi-pens (labeled) 
  • Blanket or sleeping bag for added warmth 
  • Umbrella 
  • Water bottle 
  • Snacks or extra food 

Registration & Fees

Each camper must be registered individually. 

The cost of camp this year is $200 per camper with a family maximum of $400. After two siblings/children, kiddos can come for free. Please contact us at info@camp-dragonfly.com if you need to register three or more campers.
